After a little talk with Xavi at the laboratory I've decided to post mi
biggest problem with CLAM here.
When I try to play any type of audio with CLAM the program gives me this
assertion:
##########################################################
################### ASSERTION FAILED #####################
##########################################################
At file ../../src/Processing/Base/Processing.cxx line 139
Error in processing object TopLevel.AudioOut_0:
Start(): Object failed to start properly.
Nested error: ALSAAudioDevice::Start(): Failed to create PCM device.
Nested error:
`trap' para punto de parada/seguimiento
(sorry for the LOCALES in ES)
I have aplay'ed (and mpg123'ed) some WAV and MP3 and plays perfectly.
At alsamixer I have the Master, Master Mono, PCM, FM Legacy, Wave and
one or two more IEC Channels unmuted (and at ~70%) PCM Out is at pre 3D.
My soundcard is a Maxi Sound Fortissimo (YMF744) and I use Gentoo Linux,
with a gentoo-sources kernel 2.4.20 and alsa-driver/alsa-utils/alsa-lib
0.92 emerged from Portage.
I hope someone can help me with this little bug or that this can be
solved in future releases of CLAM.
P.S.: It's true that ALSA is one of the worst documented open-source
projects ... I hope this will be fixed now that it's part of the Linux
kernel.
