[CLAM] clam forum

Hi Vincent,

we have had a quick discussion among the developers at BarcelonaMedia
(David, Natanael, Pau) here goes the summary.

The downside: currently only few developers (David, Natanael, Pau,
Xavier, Hernan) are answering most of the technical questions in the
lists (just a matter of taking a look at the mail archives). Adding a
forum doesn't seem to imply that we'll get more people answering. On the
contrary will probably require the same developers to actively check the
forum.
The information will be more scattered (lists archives, wiki and forum).
So keeping updated with Clam will be a bit more difficult.
If the forum have large answering latencies it might give bad impression
of the project. If it is not used too much, the same.

The upside: some people are more oriented to forums than lists.
And maybe forums will add more discussions about applications usage
(e.g. NetworkEditor and chordata), which the lists are now lacking.

In conclusion, we'll do the *experiment*. We'll start adding a link in
the web page, see how it works for some months and then decide either
increase the integration (embedding it, migrating it to the Clam
hosting) or decrease it (removing the link), or stay the same.

Vincent, we hope that you will take the lead not only in managing the
forum but also engaging its users!

P, D, N
