Hi to all,
after a long time developing with Debian I've decided to test our
synthesizer
on Windows too. So I've checked out code from subversion repository
and then
looked for some install information. I've read the INSTALL file and
the pages on
the wiki. Obviously I wanted the fastest way, 'cause I wanted only to
test my
own program and not CLAM framework.
After a while I've decided to compile the library with Visual
Studio 7.1, because
I have a machine already configured with it and because You supply a
package
with precompiled dependencies for this compiler, except for portaudio,
which I've
compiled.
As I started scons for compilation, I've found that there was a
compatibility problem
with dirent.h interface. So I downloaded a nice replacement for it
from PostgreSQL.
Just after I've managed this issue I had a lot of minor problems, so
I've searched this
mailing list and I've found a mail from Pau and this bug:
https://projectes.lafarga.cat/tracker/?func=detail&atid=171&aid=271&group_id=24

So my questions:
1) Is MSVC unsupported for CLAM or just for the NetworkEditor?
2) Is it useful that I fix all the minor problems so that I can made
CLAM compile with MSVC?
3) Is there any precompiled package for dependencies (or CLAM
framework) to use with MinGW
or with Cygwin?

Moreover, if MSVC is unsupported maybe information of installation of
CLAM with it should
be removed from INSTALL file and wiki.

Cheers,
Giulio.
