after all your changes, smstools compilation fails because not finding
headers:

/usr/include/qt3/qglobal.h:775:21: error: qconfig.h: No such file or 
directory

examples compilation fails because clam sconstool seems to do a 
pkgconfig of clam_vmqt which do not longer exist.

it seems an un-commit to me. is it?
